Research shows that weddings, having a baby, losing a job, and other life transitions can be extremely stressful on relationships. There is no question that the best preparation for these difficult transitions is to have smooth relationship and communication skills. Make sure your relationship is strong enough to last forever. Children who grow up in a stable family, with two loving parents, show all sorts of benefits in terms of their emotional, intellectual and even physical development. And, healthy marriages can provide critical support in hard economic times.
Marriage and Relationship Skills Education works! Couples who participate in relationship skills courses are less likely to separate or divorce and more likely to have satisfying, loving, growing relationships.
Is this just reading and watching?
This is a live class with a Power of Two trained teacher who will guide a small group of couples (or individuals) through a wide variety of activities and interactive experiences. All you need is a computer with sound (no special hardware) and a phone (with speaker phone if you and your partner will be in front of the same computer). It's a fun way to spend quality time with your partner.

Marriage therapists and researchers have learned that a core set of skills distinguish couples with happy mariages from those that struggle or fail. For most couples, navigating life together is not always easy or intuitive. The good news is that anyone can learn the key skills for successful marriage. This course teaches those skills.
The specific skills taught in this course come from Dr. Susan Heitler's Power of Two curriculum. This program, is based on her 30+ years of work as a clinical psychologist helping couples build loving partnerships and from the vast research on what makes for marital success. The skills you will learn are time-proven to be simple and effective.
This course covers the four skill areas crucial for successful couples:
- Communication Skills
- Emotional Regulation Skills
- Decision Making Skills
- Intimacy/Support Skills
